so if anyone knows of some larger disk that's cheaper per tb, i'm interested in that too. is anyone aware of anyone with any deals on 10tb+ drives? (I probably want to pick up 3 (so i have a local cold spare.) Before I went looking I was actually thinking about the prospect of rebuilding the box completely (it's currently based on an i7-2600k and 24gb of ram, using the 8 onboard sata ports and booting from a usb flash drive) but I have a ryzen 3700x and a 64gb kit that I just upgraded away from (bought a 5950x and a 128gb kit for my primary workstation)) and because ryzen boards only have 6 sata ports for some dumb reason, i'd need to pick up an HBA anyhow - but I was interested in maybe adding another 8 disk raidz2 vdev down the road (i'm at 80% capacity now). now I can't seem to find 10tb drives under $260. 6 months ago you could find these regularly at around $180ish and I thought that was expensive.
